Making inclusive values attractive in secondary education
Abstract
The project directly addresses the HORIZONTAL priority “Inclusion and diversity in education”, and also the priority ‘Common values, civic engagement and participation’. It does so by empowering teachers working with late adolescents to make inclusion values attractive for their pupils. This includes the appreciation of diversity, open dialogue in the classroom about different values – including EU values, and facilitating the internalization of the value of inclusion and its further implementation in personal and social life. A well-balanced partnership from Latvia, Estonia, and Spain, including 3 universities, 2 VET and comprehensive schools and a municipal teacher training centre, was set to make inclusive values attractive for late adolescents, empowering teachers to promote open discussions and engaging activities for inclusion in secondary school.
