Organizing Oral Care Training for Nursing Homes
Abstract
The goal of the project is to improve the quality of oral care in nursing homes by providing staff and residents with practical and evidence-based training that raises awareness of oral hygiene and enhances daily care skills. Under the agreement, training will be conducted in two nursing homes in Harju County (5 days, a total of 15 hours), two nursing homes in Ida-Viru County (5 days, a total of 15 hours), and one nursing home in Saare County (5 days, a total of 15 hours). The training includes theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and hands-on guidance, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement best practices in oral care. As a result, the project will improve oral hygiene among nursing home residents and reduce health risks associated with inadequate oral care.
