Monitoring of endangered alvar grassland and dry heath communities (Natura 2000 habitat types)
Abstract
The objectives of the monitoring project are: Monitoring of habitats of the Habitats Directive (Council of Europe Directive 92/43 / EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora): ● Collecting field monitoring data at two sites in habitat type 4030 (European dry heaths), at two sites in habitat type 8240 (Limestone pavements) and at ten sites in habitat type 6280 (Alvar grasslands) per year. In addition, the small-scale species richness of the grassland community is described in two sites of habitat type 6280 (Alvar grasslands). ● Measurement of parameters used in previous monitoring works in monitoring areas, following the methodology of grassland habitat monitoring in use. ● Aggregation of monitoring parameters, processing data (including digitization), analysis of the results. ● Collecting of monitoring data protected vascular plant species (category II) for at least 16 (sixteen) local populations in alvar grassland and lowland species-rich dry to mesic grassland communities in the monitoring sites designated by the Environment Agency and using the methodology for monitoring endangered vascular plants.
