Superclusters and Voids: Properties, Dynamics and Correlation
Abstract
The Universe's largest structures - superclusters and voids lack a universal description, hindering our understanding of their dynamics and properties crucial for comprehending cosmic behaviour on the largest scales. Governed by dark energy and dark matter, these structures play a pivotal role in shaping cosmic evolution. This project seeks to develop physically motivated mathematical frameworks for defining voids and superclusters, unveiling their properties and introducing novel cosmological probes constructed using these large structures. This innovative approach will test existing cosmological models of our Universe that depend on the nature of dark matter and dark energy. Furthermore, we aim to pioneer the estimation of magnetic fields within superclusters, an underexplored domain critical for a deeper understanding of the magnetic field of the cosmic web.
