Artificial intelligence in cybersecurity
Abstract
Artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions have developed rapidly in recent years and find new applications in many areas of life. In the field of cyber security, it is important to realize that in addition to regular citizens and companies, criminals will also find new ways to use this technology. The project explores the opportunities of using artificial intelligence and machine learning in the field of cyber security. The scope includes both use cases that improve cyber security (e.g. the use of machine learning methods to detect malicious network traffic or identify malware) as well as use cases that threaten cyber security (e.g. the use of deepfake technology in the context of phishing attacks and the use of chatbots posing as humans in social media). More specifically, it is planned to carry out activities in three areas of application: network security, cryptography and defense against social engineering.
