The dynamics of national identity strategies in Estonia in the context of Russian aggression in Ukraine
Abstract
The Russian aggression war in Ukraine has altered the context of interethnic relations in all its neighboring countries with a relatively large Russian-speaking population. Identity studies conducted in Estonia over the past two years confirm rapid changes related to the context of the war among both Estonians and Estonian Russians. The aim of this project is to initiate a long-term research program on identity mechanisms related to interethnic relations, using opinion survey methods to elucidate how such changes occur.
