Analysis of trends and monitoring opportunities of voluntary and community activities
Abstract
Given the changing landscape of society, it's essential to have a comprehensive understanding of the current state of volunteering, including its various manifestations and factors that shape it. This includes scientific research that examines both the structural and individual components of volunteering and reliable measures for tracking and assessing it cost-effectively. Our research project aims to create a monitoring methodology that will help us track the growth of civil society in Estonia. We will achieve this by analyzing trends in voluntary activities and forms of cooperation among volunteers, non-governmental organizations, and the public sector. By comparing our findings with experiences in other countries, such as the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Sweden, we hope to gain valuable insights into how to best support and strengthen the Estonian civil society.
