Abstract
Within the framework of the project, a closely related team of hardware and software experts will be formed in cooperation between researchers from the Estonian Aviation Academy and the University of Tartu in order to develop the complex spatial perception, planning and control capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles and to enable the effective operation of AI algorithms even in the hardware of unmanned aerial vehicles with limited volume and energy reserves.
Full Text
As a result of the project, Estonia has a qualified research team dedicated to the development of unmanned aircraft systems and a research laboratory where next-generation autonomous solutions for unmanned aircraft systems are developed. The results obtained in the research laboratory can be used to create a commercializable and patentable prototype. In addition, the developed hardware and software platform can also be seen as a research platform that is beneficial to both universities and industry.
