Abstract

The products and services offered by CAMS have been developed to provide users with essential tools for monitoring the state of the atmosphere and validating related national datasets. To utilize these products at the national level, this project unites key institutions in Estonia, including the University of Tartu’s Centre for Climate Research (UTCCR), the Estonian Environmental Research Centre (EERC), and the Estonian Environment Agency (ESTEA), which are responsible for advancing climate research, education in atmospheric sciences, air quality monitoring, and environmental data management. By leveraging their extensive expertise and state-of-the-art facilities, these institutions develop new air quality monitoring strategies and support national climate change adaptation activities. The activities planned within the project will further strengthen cooperation between these institutions, resulting in a more unified approach and providing policymakers with comprehensive advice for developing strategies for improving air quality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, by integrating CAMS data into the current data portals, this project will provide the public sector with an additional layer of detailed information about atmospheric conditions and air quality.
