CFD analyses and model development of zonation in water treatment plant
Abstract
In order to destroy pathogenic microorganisms from water, pre-zonation is used in water treatment planst. Pre-microfiltered water is sent to the ozone contact pool, where the produced ozone and the purified water are mixed. CFD analysis focuses on the study of water-ozone mixing using multiphase turbulent flow models. The purpose of the CFD analysis is to analyze the profiles of the water flow and the distribution of sprayed ozone with for estimating the locations of the necessary sensors, and the locations and amounts of ozone and water contact points (diffusers/sprays).
